BIO

Nihilartikel is a project I started in 2008. The music can be categorized as Avant-Garde Metal with some Rock and lots of Electronic influences, but it started out as Experimental Mathcore in the early days (“Synaesthesis (EP)”).

This is a different type of beast, set apart by the peculiar way the songs for the project are made. In 2008, “Synaesthesis (EP)” was composed as a normal EP, every song was worked on for a while before being recorded, but after this release, it started to become an almost improvised project. Every song in “Part E (EP)” was created and recorded in one day (each). Starting with laying down random drum grooves and then layering bass, guitar, synths and voice on top of it. It is the project where I go to just have mindless fun, and anything goes.

I’m currently not working on this project, but I’ve had some concept ideas written down for it. No music, but just ideas of how songs should progress in terms of mood and genre, so maybe one day I will take a week off my schedule and do a 1-song a day challenge again!
